Brendan Brock

Catcher/Outfielder · New York Yankees · MiLB · active · OU 2026

Juco home run king who helped OU win the 2026 national title

Brendan Brock is from Mascoutah, Illinois, where he was a two-time first-team all-conference player at Mascoutah High School. He stayed close to home at Southwestern Illinois College, redshirting his first year because of an injury.

At Southwestern Illinois he became a slugger. He hit .398 with 15 home runs in 2024, then .462 with 20 home runs and 75 RBIs in 2025, when he was the Region 24 Player of the Year and a first-team NJCAA All-American. He left as the school's career home run leader. The Milwaukee Brewers drafted him in the 14th round in 2025, but he didn't sign and transferred to Oklahoma.

In his one season at OU, Brock started 65 of 66 games: 29 at catcher and 37 in the outfield or at designated hitter. He hit .302 with 13 home runs, 55 RBIs and 28 stolen bases, which tied for 15th in a season in program history, and he was an SEC Player of the Week in March. He led OU in hitting in the NCAA Tournament at .457, with three home runs, and homered in the College World Series semifinal win over Georgia as the Sooners won the national championship.

The New York Yankees drafted him in the third round (99th overall) in 2026 and signed him for $789,800. As of October 9, 2026, he is in the Yankees organization, assigned to the rookie-level Florida Complex League Yankees.
