Aaron Colvin

2014 · Round 4 · Pick 114 · CB · Jacksonville Jaguars

Aaron Colvin was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee, and played at Owasso High School in Oklahoma. He was first-team All-State and the 2009 district 6A-4 defensive player of the year. At Oklahoma he led the team with 84 tackles as a strong safety in 2011, then moved to cornerback and was first-team All-Big 12 in 2012 and 2013. His OU totals were 234 tackles and five interceptions over 50 games. He tore his ACL during Senior Bowl practice in January 2014, when Mel Kiper ranked him the draft's fourth-best cornerback, and he slid to Jacksonville in the fourth round (114th overall). He played for the Jaguars from 2014 to 2017, then Houston and Washington. His NFL totals are 211 tackles and 5.0 sacks, and he is retired. The Oklahoman (Web Edition) wrote on May 8, 2014: "Aaron Colvin recently had the word “family” tattooed on one bicep." The same article says: "Colvin played his senior season through multiple painful injuries, and an ACL tear a few weeks after his collegiate career ended undoubtedly caused him to fall several rounds from where he otherwise would've been drafted."
