Andre Woolfolk

2003 · Round 1 · Pick 28 · DB · Tennessee Titans

Andre Woolfolk was born in Denver. At Thomas Jefferson High School he made 171 tackles and 19 interceptions and played alongside future NFL tight end Daniel Graham. At Oklahoma (1998–2002) he played both receiver and defensive back, catching 39 passes for 573 yards and five touchdowns on the 2000 national title team. He switched to defense full-time in 2001 and was third-team All-Big 12 in 2000 and 2001. Tennessee drafted him in the first round, 28th overall, in 2003. Over four injury-shortened seasons he played 39 games with 12 starts, making 136 tackles and three interceptions. He was placed on injured reserve three times, and he spent the 2008 offseason with the New York Jets. Tidbit: all three of his NFL interceptions came off passes by David Carr. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoma Daily wrote on September 24, 2019: "But unlike Bridges, Woolfolk was primarily a defensive back at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver."
