C. J. Ah You

2007 · Round 7 · Pick 239 · DE · Buffalo Bills

C. J. Ah You was born in La Habra, California, and played at Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah. He began his college career at BYU but was expelled in 2004 for honor-code violations. After a stop at Snow College, he joined Oklahoma in 2005 and was the Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year. In 2006 he was first-team All-Big 12, and he finished his two OU seasons with 11 sacks and four forced fumbles. Buffalo drafted him in the seventh round, 239th overall, in 2007, but released him, and he played for the St. Louis Rams from 2007 to 2011, finishing with 41 tackles and six sacks. He began coaching as an OU special-teams quality control coach in 2015 and later coached at Vanderbilt and in the XFL. He is now the outside linebackers coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Oklahoman wrote on October 28, 2005: "Ah You's younger brother, Matt, is currently a linebacker at BYU (the two played together in 2003)." The same article says: "Ah You transferred to Snow (Utah) Junior College - the school OU plucked Josh Heupel out of in 1999 - where Jason Ah You was the defensive line coach."
