Delarrin Turner-Yell
2022 · Round 5 · Pick 152 · S · Denver Broncos
Delarrin Turner-Yell is from Hempstead, Texas, and played at Hempstead High School. A three-star recruit, he committed to Oklahoma in 2017 over Baylor, Houston and Iowa, and he earned second-team All-Big 12 honors as a safety in 2021. Denver drafted him in the fifth round, 152nd overall, in 2022, and he recovered two fumbles in 14 games as a rookie. He tore his ACL in Week 17 of 2023, missed all of 2024, and in 2025 was waived and moved to the practice squad. He hurt his knee again in a Week 16 elevation. His infobox lists no current team; he played for the Broncos from 2022 to 2025 and has 42 career tackles. Note: his Wikipedia article doesn't give his OU stats, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoman (Web Edition) wrote on April 28, 2022: "Turner-Yell, a native of Hempstead, Texas, was a consistent starter on the Sooners' defense the past three seasons."
