Jamell Fleming
2012 · Round 3 · Pick 80 · DB · Arizona Cardinals
Jamell Fleming was born in Edinburg, Texas, and attended Seguin High School in Arlington, Texas. At Oklahoma (2007–2011) he made 168 tackles, seven interceptions and two touchdowns, and he was first-team All-Big 12 in 2010 and 2011. He was also the defensive MVP of the Fiesta Bowl played after the 2010 season. Arizona drafted him in the third round, 80th overall, in 2012. He later played for Jacksonville (2013) and Kansas City (2014–2015) and spent time on Baltimore's practice squad. His NFL totals are 71 tackles and nine pass deflections, and he is retired. (Wikipedia calls the game the 2011 Fiesta Bowl.) Note: the available sourced information is limited, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. Oklahoma City Examiner wrote on September 17, 2010: "Oklahoma held Florida State’s Heisman hopeful quarterback Christian Ponder to 113 passing yards and two interceptions, including one by Fleming."
