Jaren Kanak

2026 · Round 7 · Pick 225 · TE · Tennessee Titans

Jaren Kanak is from Hays, Kansas. At Hays High School he played linebacker, quarterback and receiver, and as a senior he ran for a school-record 1,615 yards and passed for 910 yards and 12 touchdowns. He committed to Clemson before flipping to Oklahoma. He played linebacker from 2022 to 2024 (39 games, 10 starts, 103 tackles, two sacks), then moved to tight end for 2025. He opened that season as the starter with five catches for 90 yards in his first game, and was named third-team All-SEC. Tennessee drafted him in the seventh round, 225th overall, in 2026. On August 16, 2026, the Titans put him on season-ending injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle. Tidbit: few players make an All-SEC team in their first season at a new position, as he did at tight end. The Oklahoman (Web Edition) wrote on October 11, 2025: "Kanak, a prep quarterback who set numerous records at Hays (Kansas) High School, made the switch to what he felt was more natural for his skillset at offense after only playing 92 snaps in 2024."
