Malcolm Kelly

2008 · Round 2 · Pick 51 · WR · Washington Redskins

Malcolm Kelly is from Longview, Texas, and was a two-time first-team all-state receiver at Longview High School. As a true freshman in 2005 he led Oklahoma in catches and receiving yards, becoming the first freshman to lead the team in receiving since 1975, and he was a Freshman All-American. In his 19th game he became the fastest Sooner to reach 1,000 career receiving yards. In 2006 he led OU in catches, yards and touchdown catches and was MVP of the Big 12 Championship Game. He was first-team All-Big 12 in 2007. Washington drafted him in the second round, 51st overall, in 2008. Injuries limited him to 28 catches for 365 yards with the Redskins from 2008 to 2010. He is now a coach, and his Wikipedia infobox lists TCU. The Oklahoman wrote on November 29, 2009: "Kelly, a native of Longview, Texas, hauled in a 36-yard reception, his career long, during the Redskins' 7-6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys last weekend."
