Mike Hawkins

2005 · Round 5 · Pick 167 · DB · Green Bay Packers

Mike Hawkins was born in Dallas and played at R. L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas. He spent only one season at Oklahoma, playing five games in 2002, during which he made five tackles and returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown against UTEP. He then left to play for the Arena Football League's Dallas Desperados. Green Bay drafted him in the fifth round, 167th overall, in 2005. He later played for Cleveland and Minnesota and had brief stints with Dallas, Tampa Bay and Oakland, finishing with 14 tackles. Note: Wikipedia lists this pick, but OU's official draft history does not, so it needs checking. The available information is limited, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. Name note: Pro Football Reference lists him as "Michael Hawkins."
