Robert Spears-Jennings

2026 · Round 7 · Pick 224 · S · Pittsburgh Steelers

Robert Spears-Jennings was born in South Carolina and lived in eight states as a child. He attended Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, Texas, and then Broken Arrow High School in Oklahoma. As a senior he was the All-District 6A-I Safety of the Year with 56 tackles and four interceptions, and he also caught 36 passes for 626 yards and eight touchdowns. At Oklahoma he made 14 tackles as a freshman in 2022 and 38 in 2023 (two starts), then became a starter in 2024. Pittsburgh drafted him in the seventh round, 224th overall, in 2026. He is active with the Steelers, and his infobox lists 15 tackles, two pass deflections and an interception. Note: his Wikipedia article doesn't cover his 2024–25 college stats, so this bio leaves them out. The Oklahoman wrote on December 10, 2021: "Born in South Carolina, Spears-Jennings grew up in a military family and hopped from one state to another before settling in Broken Arrow, where he solidified himself as one of Oklahoma's top recruits in the 2022 class." A September 15, 2023 Oklahoman article quotes him calling Tulsa "my hometown."
