Terry Ray
1992 · Round 6 · Pick 158 · DB · Atlanta Falcons
Terry Ray was born in Brussels, Belgium. Atlanta drafted him out of Oklahoma in the sixth round, 158th overall, in 1992, and he played 10 games for the Falcons. He then joined Bill Parcells' New England Patriots (1993–1996), including the team that lost Super Bowl XXXI to Green Bay. After two years away from football, he signed with the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos in 1999 and became a four-time CFL all-star at safety and linebacker. He finished his career with Winnipeg in 2004 and was a scout for Washington from 2005 to 2008. Note: his Wikipedia article has no details on his OU career, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoman wrote on October 23, 1991: "Harold Ray, the father of OU free safety Terry Ray, was dining at the Luby's Cafeteria in Killeen, Texas, last Wednesday when a gunman entered the restaurant and killed 23 people."
