Wanya Morris
2023 · Round 3 · Pick 92 · OT · Kansas City Chiefs
Wanya Morris was born in Savannah, Georgia, and was a consensus five-star tackle at Grayson High School. He chose Tennessee after decommitting from Florida State, and he earned Freshman All-America and freshman All-SEC honors after starting 12 games in 2019. He transferred to Oklahoma in 2021. In 2022 he started eight games on a line that helped Eric Gray run for more than 1,300 yards, and he was named second-team All-Big 12. Kansas City drafted him in the third round, 92nd overall, in 2023, and he won Super Bowl LVIII as a rookie. In 2024 he lined up as an eligible tight end against Cincinnati and caught a 1-yard touchdown from Patrick Mahomes. He spent time with Atlanta in 2026 and is now on the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad. Tidbit: he was named after Wanyá Morris of Boyz II Men. The Tulsa World wrote on September 13, 2022: "Morris, the 6-foot-6, 310-pound tackle who transferred from Tennessee in 2021, appeared in six games with the Sooners last fall."
