William Bartee

2000 · Round 2 · Pick 54 · DB · Kansas City Chiefs

William Bartee (pronounced bar-TEE) was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, and played at Atlantic High School in Port Orange. He went to Butler County Community College in Kansas, then played two seasons at Oklahoma, where he made 60 tackles, two interceptions and 12 pass breakups. Kansas City drafted him in the second round, 54th overall, in 2000, and he spent his entire NFL career with the Chiefs. When the team signed Ty Law in 2006, Bartee gave up his No. 24 and switched to 21. An injury cost him the 2006 season, and the Chiefs released him afterward. His career totals are 201 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Note: the available information is limited, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio.
