Gracen Halton

Defensive tackle · San Francisco 49ers · active · OU 2022-2025

San Diego-bred interior disruptor making noise as a 49ers rookie

Gracen Halton came to Oklahoma from St. Augustine High School in San Diego, where he posted 75 tackles and 5.5 sacks as a senior.

He developed steadily over four seasons in Norman (2022–2025). After smaller roles as a freshman and sophomore, Halton broke out in 2024 with 30 tackles, six tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a safety. That safety came in a 16–12 win over Houston in which he also had two tackles for loss and a sack. Instead of entering the 2025 draft, he returned for his senior year and earned second-team All-SEC honors.

The San Francisco 49ers selected him in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2026 NFL draft. Injuries along the 49ers' defensive line have pushed him into a meaningful role early, and as of October 8, 2026, Halton is an active defensive tackle for San Francisco, sharing a locker room with fellow ex-Sooners Trent Williams, Ogbo Okoronkwo and Brayden Willis.
