Bobby Boyd

Cornerback · 2 selections · deceased · OU 1957-1959

Two Pro Bowls, five straight All-Pro seasons and a spot on the 1960s All-Decade Team

Bobby Boyd played halfback and then quarterback for Bud Wilkinson at Oklahoma, while also playing defensive back and returning punts. Oklahoma won conference titles in 1958 and 1959, and he was an all-conference pick in 1959.

He spent his entire nine-year NFL career as a cornerback with the Baltimore Colts, from 1960 to 1968. His first Pro Bowl came after the 1964 season, when he led the league in interception return yards and was a first-team All-Pro for a Colts team that won the NFL West.

Starting that year, he had five straight All-Pro seasons, 1964 through 1968, according to Wikipedia. His second Pro Bowl came in 1968, his final season as a player, when he was again a first-team All-Pro and the Colts won the NFL championship. He retired after that season to coach for the Colts.

He finished with 57 career interceptions and was named to the NFL's 1960s All-Decade Team.
