DeMarco Murray

Running back · 3 selections · retired · OU 2006-2010

A replacement nod, then an Offensive Player of the Year season and a third Pro Bowl in Tennessee

DeMarco Murray left Oklahoma as the Sooners' career touchdown leader, breaking Steve Owens' record in 2010. Dallas took him in the third round of the 2011 draft.

His first Pro Bowl came after the 2013 season, when he replaced San Francisco's Frank Gore, who was injured in the NFC Championship Game. OU's Pro Bowl page leaves that selection out, but Pro-Football-Reference and Wikipedia both list it.

The next year was his best. In 2014 he led the NFL in rushing yards and tied for the lead in rushing touchdowns, and he was named AP Offensive Player of the Year, first-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler for the second straight year. After a season in Philadelphia, he went to Tennessee and led the AFC in rushing in 2016, which earned his third Pro Bowl, announced on December 20, 2016.

He is now the running backs coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. His three Pro Bowls tie him with Mark Andrews, Tommie Harris, Jalen Hurts, Billy Sims and Tress Way among former Sooners.
