Five Pro Bowls in two roles: three as a returner, two as a running back

Greg Pruitt was a two-time unanimous All-American at Oklahoma, in 1971 and 1972, and the Big Eight's offensive player of the year in 1971. The Cleveland Browns took him in the second round in 1973, and he made the Pro Bowl as a rookie, as a kick returner. He went back as a returner in 1974.

In 1975 he became Cleveland's lead back, and he was picked for the Pro Bowl as a running back after the 1976 and 1977 seasons, with 1,000 rushing yards in 1976 and 1,086 in 1977.

His fifth selection came six years later. In 1983, at 32 and now with the Los Angeles Raiders, he led the NFL in punt returns and punt return yards and was picked as a return specialist for the first time since 1974. The Raiders went on to win Super Bowl XVIII. In total he made three Pro Bowls as a returner and two as a running back. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.
