Outland Trophy winner who went to two Pro Bowls protecting Drew Brees

Jammal Brown was recruited to Oklahoma as a defensive tackle, switched to offensive tackle and won the 2004 Outland Trophy as the nation's top lineman, blocking for a freshman Adrian Peterson. New Orleans took him in the first round of the 2005 draft. Wikipedia notes he was the highest-drafted OU offensive lineman since Stan West in 1950.

In 2006 he anchored the line that helped the Saints reach the NFC Championship Game. He was picked for the Pro Bowl along with the quarterback he protected, Drew Brees, and was named AP first-team All-Pro. In 2008 he and Brees were both picked again.

A torn ACL kept him out of the 2009 season, when the Saints won Super Bowl XLIV, and he was later traded to Washington. Both of his Pro Bowls came with New Orleans. His two selections tie him with 11 other former Sooners.
