Back-to-back Pro Bowls in Cincinnati, the first as a Super Bowl replacement

Jermaine Gresham, from Ardmore, Oklahoma, was a first-team All-American tight end at OU in 2008. Cincinnati made him a first-round pick in 2010.

In his second season, 2011, he caught 56 passes for 596 yards and six touchdowns. He was named to the Pro Bowl as a replacement: New England's Rob Gronkowski was headed to the Super Bowl, and first alternate Aaron Hernandez was on the same Patriots team, so the spot went to Gresham.

He made it again after the 2012 season, when he caught 64 passes for 737 yards and five touchdowns. According to Wikipedia, that made him one of only three tight ends in NFL history with more than 50 catches in each of his first three seasons. The others were Mike Ditka and fellow Sooner Keith Jackson.

Both of his Pro Bowls came with the Bengals. He finished his career with four seasons in Arizona.
