A Pro Bowl returner in each of his first two NFL seasons

Marvin Mims Jr. made the Pro Bowl as a rookie. After the 2023 season he was named the AFC's starting return specialist. His 17.4 yards per punt return led all players with at least one return per game, and he led the AFC in kickoff return average (minimum 10 returns). He was the first Broncos rookie Pro Bowler since Phillip Lindsay in 2018, and only the third Broncos rookie since the 1970 merger, after Lindsay and Von Miller. He was also just the third Bronco to make it as a return specialist, after Glyn Milburn and Rick Upchurch. That season he was a second-team AP All-Pro at kick returner.

He did it again after the 2024 season, once more as an AFC starter. He led the NFL with a 15.7-yard punt return average, almost a yard better than the next qualifying returner, and got the most fan votes of any AFC returner. That made him and Von Miller the only Broncos since the merger to make the Pro Bowl in each of their first two seasons. He was also a first-team AP All-Pro at punt returner that year.

He has two selections, tied with Nik Bonitto, Baker Mayfield, Joe Mixon and Kyler Murray among the 14 ex-Sooners soonersblog.com follows. Both came as a starter and as a returner.
