Outside linebacker · 2 selections · active · OU 2018-2021

Back-to-back Pro Bowl starter and the fans' top pick at his spot

Nik Bonitto's first Pro Bowl came after a breakout 2024 season. He learned about it in a phone call from Broncos general manager George Paton and didn't quite believe it. "I [was] like, [I've] got to see it officially for me to actually believe it," he said. He was named an AFC starter and finished first at his position in the fan vote.

At that point Bonitto had 11.5 sacks, which made him the first Denver defender with double-digit sacks since Von Miller and Bradley Chubb in 2018. He also had two defensive touchdowns, including a 71-yard interception return. He was the first Broncos outside linebacker to make a Pro Bowl since Chubb in 2020. "Just being able to watch [the Pro Bowl] all the time as a kid… this is just a dream come true," he said.

He followed up after the 2025 season with a second straight selection, again as a starter. He had 12.5 sacks when the rosters came out, giving him back-to-back double-digit sack seasons. He became the first Broncos outside linebacker with back-to-back Pro Bowls since Von Miller. Denver had six players on the initial roster, its most since 2014.

Bonitto has two selections, tied with Baker Mayfield, Marvin Mims Jr., Joe Mixon and Kyler Murray among the 14 ex-Sooners soonersblog.com follows. Both of his have been as a starter.
