The first former Sooner selected to the modern Pro Bowl

Stan West, from Enid, Oklahoma, played for Bud Wilkinson's Sooners from 1946 to 1949 and was a first-team All-American in 1949. Wilkinson called him "one of the most talented players I have ever coached," according to Wikipedia. The Los Angeles Rams took him in the first round of the 1950 draft.

West made the Pro Bowl after the 1951 season, the year the Rams won the NFL championship, and again after the 1952 season, when the Associated Press named him a first-team All-Pro. Both selections came with the Rams. He later played for the New York Giants and Chicago Cardinals before retiring after the 1957 season.

He was the first former Sooner to make the modern Pro Bowl, which began after the 1950 season. Sources on his Pro Bowl years are limited mainly to Pro-Football-Reference, Wikipedia and OU's Pro Bowl page, which all agree on 1951 and 1952.
