Tre Brown
Cornerback · New York Jets · injured reserve · OU 2017-2020
Tulsa's own lockdown corner, now battling back with the Jets
Reginald 'Tre' Brown was raised in Tulsa and starred at Union High School before choosing Oklahoma over schools like LSU, Florida, USC and Texas.
A four-year contributor at cornerback for the Sooners (2017–2020), Brown was a tough, undersized competitor who earned second-team All-Big 12 honors twice, in 2018 and 2020.
The Seattle Seahawks selected him in the fourth round (137th overall) of the 2021 NFL draft, and he signed a four-year rookie deal and spent four seasons in Seattle (2021–2024), battling back from knee injuries along the way. In 2025 he had brief stops with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams before landing on the New York Jets' practice squad in November. The Jets promoted him to the active roster on December 27, 2025.
On August 30, 2026, the Jets placed Brown on injured reserve, which is his status as of October 8, 2026. He has scored an NFL defensive touchdown and has two career interceptions, and Sooner fans will be rooting for the Tulsa native to get back on the field.
