Owasso's own: a .400 hitter on four title teams
Rylie Boone is a homegrown Sooner from Owasso, Oklahoma. At Owasso High School she hit .514 as a senior, was a three-time district player of the year and chose Oklahoma over Oklahoma State, Kansas and Tulsa.
Boone was a five-year letterwinner at OU (2020–2024). A knee injury cut short her freshman season after four games, but she hit .412 as a sophomore in 2021. Her first career home run was a grand slam in the Norman Regional final against Wichita State. She hit .408 in 2022 and .392 in 2023, making the Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team both years. In 2023 she batted .500 at the WCWS. As a fifth-year senior in 2024 she hit .410 and started 65 of 66 games. Boone helped the Sooners win four straight national titles from 2021 to 2024, and her .407 career average ranks fifth in program history.
After playing for the Oklahoma City Spark in 2024 and 2025, she was taken by the Texas Volts in the 2026 AUSL allocation draft. In her first AUSL season she hit .349, sixth in the league, and ranked third with 29 hits.
As of October 8, 2026, Boone is an outfielder for the Volts.
